Apple updated the Apple TV to version 4.4 to go with the rollout of iOS 5, only to find it wasn't working perfectly. The first version of 4.4.1 caused even bigger problems, but 4.4.2 now looks to put things back on track.

Apple TV gets another bugfix update in 4.4.2, requires clean start

Now Apple's revealed both updates also have issues updating themselves to newer versions of the software, and has released 4.4.2 to (hopefully) right all wrongs. Unfortunately, the update requires the home media streamer to be wiped completely, so get ready to enter your Netflix and iTunes information all over again.
