Without the usual fanfare of taking its online Store down, Apple has made some gentle upgrades to its MacBook Pro laptop lineup. The entry level 13-inch MBP now starts off at a speed of 2.4GHz and packs 500GB of storage, while the 15-inch model tops out at a 2.5GHz Core i7 CPU and sees graphics upgrades across the board. The 17-inch MacBook Pro also makes the jump from AMD's Radeon HD 6750M to the HD 6770M, while its base processor changes from a 2.2GHz to a 2.4GHz Core i7 chip. Prices, as is Apple's habit, remain unchanged. A move to Bluetooth 4.0 had been expected to feature among these upgrades -- to match the latest MacBook Air and the iPhone 4S -- however the MBP line is sticking to v2.1, marking this out as mostly a CPU and GPU refresh.
