The folks at iFixit recently tore apart Apple's 27-inch Thunderbolt Display, which obviously uses Intel's new Thunderbolt port, and runs audio, video, and peripheral connections through a single cable. The techs opened this beauty up and discovered a 1-inch subwoofer, putting the ".1" in the 2.1 speaker system, and the very same 2560 x 1440 LG LCD ( LM270WQ1) found in the 2009 27-inch iMac - not a bad display, despite its age. In the end, iFixit gave Apples latest display a repairability score of eight, ten being the easiest. Check out all the gory pics at the source.
