We already know that Motorola is readying both a redesigned Xoom 2 and a smaller, 8.2-inch Media Edition, but according to an anonymous tipster at Engadget, they've got one more model ready to roll: a kid-friendly Xoom Family Edition. We know what you're thinking, but according to photos apparently taken at a big box electronics chain, the 10.1-inch tablet will feature a bundle of kid-friendly apps and games from Zoodles called Kid Mode that parents can let children run unsupervised. With a 1GHz dual-core processor, the Honeycomb tablet looks like it will have specs more in line with today's Xoom then the next-gen models we've been hearing about, but with $40 of additional software pre-loaded, we're thinking it may be positioned as a cheaper, low-end member of the Xoom family. No news on pricing or availability yet, but we'll let you know as soon as we have more.
