Logitech's updated Alert Commander security monitoring software now supports Dropbox. This allows you to backup anything captured by your array of cameras straight to the cloud, though you'll need to have both the Dropbox client and Alert Commander running on your computer for this to happen. The range of cameras offers 720p video capture with motion-activated recording, microSD support for when your PC is offline, mobile apps with alerts, and network access using Homeplug technology.
Although Logitech is marketing this as a new feature, it's worth noting that the company isn't offering any additional storage to its users — the plans being advertised are the same as on Dropbox's website, ranging from the free 2GB plan to $19.99 a month for 100GB of storage. If you're an Alert owner and want to take advantage of the new integration, the update's available to download now.
