Console drawing tablets are apparently the rage this holiday season — Ubisoft just launched its Drawsome tablet for the Wii, and now THQ's updated uDraw GameTablet lands on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 tomorrow. Like the original uDraw, which launched for the Wii last year, this update has a 4-inch by 6-inch pressure-sensitive drawing area and a stylus with 256 points of pressure sensitivity. That's a long way from the 1,000+ points on professional graphics tablets like Wacom makes, but the uDraw only costs $79.99 (or $69.99 for the Wii version). The uDraw GameTablet comes with uDraw Studio: Instant Artist, a game that brings to mind the classic Mario Pant from days of yore, albeit with more precise controls. The new uDraw also includes rudimentary "tilt" controls, and its input area is touch-responsive, so you can pinch and stretch like on a touchscreen tablet.
Additional games Pictionary: Ultimate Edition and Marvel Super Hero Squad: Comic Combat round out the launch library for the PS3 and Xbox 360 (versions of both games are available for the Wii as well). Speaking of the Wii, it is also getting a new uDraw GameTablet, in black — but the hardware doesn't appear to be updated from last year's version, so no pinch or stretch controls for the Nintendo faithful.
