The Toshiba Portege Z835 started out as a Best Buy exclusive in the US, but it's now available for order, along with the higher-end Z830 variant, on Toshiba's website. Toshiba's offering two base models of the Z830 which can be configured to your liking — a 1.7GHz Core i5 model with 4GB of RAM for $1,199, and a 1.8GHz Core i7 model with 6GB of RAM for $1,429 — both of which include a 13.3-inch screen, and a 128GB SSD for storage. The lower-end Z835 starts at $929, and features a 1.4GHz Core i3 with 4GB of RAM, a 128GB SSD, and a 13.3-inch screen. Toshiba's site still lists the Best Buy exclusive version of the Z835, but the only "exclusive" part we can detect from the online comparison is a fingerprint reader, which the online Z835 variant lacks.
