A recent FCC filing shows that a new Sony camcorder (model MHS-TS55) with 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and a new concave form factor may be in the works. The filing refers to the device as the "Mobile HD Snap," but it would likely fall in the company's line of Bloggie pocket camcorders. We're not positive what Wi-Fi will be used for since Sony hasn't made any official mention of the device, but it could mean that the new model will provide wireless syncing to a computer or to social sites like Facebook.

Sony's lineup of Bloggie cameras already have some nice specs, including 1080p video capture and a model which records in 3D. The potential addition of wireless syncing will at least make the diminutive cameras more competitive with smartphones, many of which can already capture HD video and wirelessly upload to various destinations.
