There may be light at the end of the tunnel for jailbreakers eagerly awaiting a method to untether their iOS 5 devices — hacker pod2g announced on Twitter that they had found an unspecified bug that can untether iOS 5 and that they are working hard on a release. It's a painful process to jailbreak iOS 5 right now since devices have to connect to a computer every time they need to be restarted, and the jailbreak is wiped if the phone reboots or powers off.
Pod2g also mentioned that a release won't be coming soon, and with Apple plucking up hackers for internships, it's no wonder that iOS devices are taking a little longer to crack these days.
