Despite only being launched yesterday, we're already seeing a price cut of $100 on both the HTC Vivid and Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket in some markets. The handsets represent your only two options on AT&T's small but growing LTE network, and with the discount the phones come in at $99 for the Vivid and $149 for the Skyrocket on a two-year contract. As a reminder, the Vivid is a Sense-infused Android 2.3.4 device with a 4.5-inch Super-LCD screen and 1.2GHz dual-core processor, while the Skyrocket runs Android 2.3.5 with TouchWiz, a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED display, and a 1.5GHz dual-core chip. We're only able to find these deals in NYC, Los Angeles, and San Francisco direct from AT&T's website, with everywhere else still showing the handsets for $199 / $249 respectively. It's worth bearing in mind that none of these cities are LTE-enabled yet, which could go some way to explaining the reductions, but other cities are inexplicably left out.
