If you want a smartphone without a contract, you've typically been stuck with middling hardware and outdated software, but Boost Mobile and ZTE are bucking that trend with the ZTE Warp. The Warp runs Gingerbread on a 4.3-inch screen, with a 1GHz processor and a 5-megapixel camera — though those internals were more impressive in 2010 than they are now, it's still a solid spec sheet, especially considering the Warp's $249 no-contract price. We got to play with the Warp, and though its screen isn't overly impressive and it's not exactly thin, it's running almost-unmolested Android, which might be worth the price by itself.
