If you had any doubts that we're officially in the "When's my Ice Cream Sandwich update coming" season, let us put them to rest. Beyond the Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S, the big question is how manufacturers will roll out Android 4.0 in conjunction with their custom skins and software. Sony Ericsson is making strong headway, and now Mobile Syrup is giving us our first hints for some other devices. A leaked internal document from Bell in Canada has estimated release dates for a few top-tier Android smartphones:
- HTC Sensation — February 2012
- HTC Raider — March 2012
- Samsung Galaxy S II — April 2012
- LG Optimus LTE — TBD
Obviously these rumored estimates are unofficial and probably subject to change, but at least its a solid sign that ICS is in the works for some of the more popular 2011 smartphones. The frozen north appears to be getting ready for this frozen treat, will US carriers keep up?
