Boingo is already spreading holiday cheer with free airport Wi-Fi for Nintendo 3DS owners, and now Skype is running a similar promotion to keep you online while you travel home. From December 21st through the 27th, Skype users can use the app to connect to a partner Wi-Fi network for free in over 50 US airports. Skype to Skype calls are completely free, but you'll still need SkypeOut credit to call a real phone. Anyone will Skype installed on their PC or Mac is eligible, and iOS users with the Skype WiFi app can take advantage of the offer too. Unfortunately, Android users need not apply.
