Amazon currently has the black Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5 on sale for $269 — 46 percent off its usual $499.95 asking price — with its white sibling receiving a smaller 26 percent discount, falling to $369.95. The camera pairs a 10.1-megapixel sensor with a Leica 5.1-19.2mm F/2.0 lens, a combination which produces great images in a body slim enough to fit into a pocket. When the camera launched late last year, reviewers generally only found sticking point with the price — something which this hefty discount should fix.

If the LX5 isn't quite what you're after, you might be pleased to hear that similar discounts are currently available on a few more members of the Lumix range, including the rugged DMC-TS3 for $274.95 and the 14.1-megapixel DMC-ZS8 for $169.
