HP's Envy 15 and 17 got a refresh in November, but the Envy 14 was left out. Now it looks like the 14-inch laptop might be getting a new design of its own and making a real resurgence in the Envy line, as the FCC has approved 2.4GHz and 5GHz radios on the "HP Envy 14 Spectre." Details are scarce in the report, and the only revealing image is the one above of the underside of the system; the styling obviously looks very similar to the new Envy models, though the vent placement seems different. The Spectre name is a new one, and makes us wonder if the Envy 14 Spectre might be an ultrabook, since it also seems odd for HP to have 14- and 15-inch models of the same laptop (at least in the standout Envy line). We don't know much yet, but we're certainly hoping the Envy 14 Spectre makes an appearance among the sea of ultrabooks at CES.
