It's a fairly well-known fact that HP actually produced two TouchPad tablets before killing all its webOS hardware: the 9.7-inch iPad-alike that bombed at retail, and the unreleased 7-inch TouchPad Go that we recently saw fetch $700 on eBay. If you harbored any notion that the landscape-friendly slate could have saved webOS if only it had been released, though, it's time to throw it out: webOS Nation just reviewed the device, and apparently it's just a smaller TouchPad after all. The Go does have a nice removable cover with a soft-touch coating to minimize fingerprints, with a removable battery (so long as you have a screwdriver) and there's a five-megapixel camera with LED flash, too, but the hardware's practically exactly the same inside and that camera reportedly doesn't snap anything worth shooting. The fact that it has the same 1024 x 768 resolution as the original is modestly impressive, though. We won't spoil the rest of the review — you can read it at our source link below — but know that next time you see a Go for sale, know that its primary value is as a collector's item.
