Nintendo's 3DS firmware update has rolled out a little ahead of its December 8th schedule. It enables 3D video and playback plus data transfers between 3DS systems.

Nintendo had to push the November firmware update for the 3DS to December 8th, but it's used that time well and managed to get the new software out a little earlier than the renewed deadline. As of late last night, 3DS owners across the globe are reporting successfully updating their handhelds to the latest firmware revision. With the newly enhanced 3DS, their entertainment options will be expanded to include 3D video recording and playback, as well as data transfers between 3DS systems, and a sprinkling of extra StreetPass Mii Plaza content.
