Have your heart set on that beautiful new Nikon D4 but need to upgrade your memory card to fit the camera's huge photos and 1080p video? Lexar has you covered with its new 256GB Professional 400x CompactFlash card, the first card of this size. In addition to massive capacity, this card is also speed rated at 400x, which translates to 60 MB/s. This isn't the fastest CompactFlash card out there (SanDisk offers a 128GB model with 100 MB/s speeds), but the combination of high capacity and relatively high speed will likely make this card a popular choice with professional photographers. Lexar's also offering 64GB and 128GB models of this card for $299.99 and $469.99; they should be available in January. As for how much the 256GB beast will set you back, Lexar's not saying yet — but it's clear it won't come cheap. It should be available for consumer purchase in the "first half of 2012."
