LePan's not exactly a widely known brand name in the tablet market, but it has several Android devices that may be worth checking out at CES this year — the most noteworhty of which is its flagship LePan III. LePan's giving a first look at the tablet this week; it's running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and is powered by a dual-core TI OMAP 4460 processor running at 1.5GHz with 1GB of RAM. Other specs include 8GB of storage, an SD slot, Bluetooth 4.0, a 5-megapixel camera on the back, and a 2-megapixel camera up front for video chatting. The LePan III also features 1080p video output, USB, and ethernet (assuming you have the proper adapters).

There's another Ice Cream Sandwich tablet being announced, the TC978. It's similar to the LePan III but without the aforementioned output options, a slower dual-core 1GHz processor, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera only. Finally there's the LePan II (pictured above) that has been up for pre-order on Amazon but plagued by delays. Unfortunately it's only running Android 3.2; it's powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and has the same RAM, storage, and camera options as the TC978. There's only screen size information given for the II — 9.7-inches at 1024 x 768 — but given the similar dimensions of the other offerings, we assume they all use the same panel. It should be widely available from Best Buy and Amazon (hopefully without the delays) for $299.99. There's no word on real world performance just yet, but we'll let you know when we see them in action on the show floor.
