LG has just announced its proprietary L9 chipset, which will be powering Google TVs from the manufacturer this year. Details are pretty thin right now, but we know that it uses a dual-core ARM architecture with quad-core GPU. Announcing the chipset, US president of the company Wayne Park said he felt that "industry chipsets have held us back from providing high performance" until now.
