It seems Asus isn't satisfied merely sticking with tablets for the pending launch of Windows 8. To complement its Vivo Tab line, the company will soon be announcing a laptop known as the Vivo Book. Asus laid out its plans in a video teaser posted to YouTube today, which promises that more details will be shared at an October 23rd media event in New York City. Until now the Vivo Book had largely flown under the radar, though an authorized Italian reseller may have spoiled Asus' grand reveal by listing at least one variation of the hardware on its site. The Asus Vivo Book S200 features an 11.6-inch touchscreen display according to ASUSTORE.IT, which also claims the laptop features an Intel Core i3 processor, 4GB of RAM, and a 320GB hard drive. We imagine Asus will have some higher-end configurations on offer, though we'll find out for sure in a matter of weeks.

Update: As astutely pointed out by swv12 in the comments below, Asus also has a page up detailing a higher-specced Vivo Book X202E.
