Those in the UK have been able to get their hands on the Sony Xperia T - dubbed the "Bond phone" due to its appearance in Skyfall - for the past few weeks, but AT&T customers yearning for the device will soon be able to pick up the Xperia TL variant. The carrier has announced that it will be making the smartphone available on November 2nd for $99.99 with a standard two-year contract. The handset matches the specifications of the Xperia T, featuring a 4.6-inch 720p display, a dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor clocked at 1.5Ghz, 1GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage along with a 13-megapixel camera. Just like the international model, it will ship with Ice Cream Sandwich on board — a Jelly Bean upgrade has been promised — but owners will be able to enjoy the added LTE connectivity in the meantime.
Sony's last flagship device for AT&T, the Xperia ion, was met with mediocre reviews, and the Xperia TL will be facing some tough competition. Currently the HTC One X and the Samsung Galaxy S III are the dominant smartphones in AT&T's lineup, with the Note II also due to be released on November 9th.
