Microsoft has started to roll out a new system update for Xbox. Designed to address some bugs and issues, rather than add functionality, the update is mandatory for Xbox Live users and is rolling out today. Microsoft says the update will correct issues with Xbox SmartGlass displaying incorrect playlist names and errors with Xbox Video closed-captioning.
The update will also address a mysterious "error with Xbox Music that some were experiencing," according to Microsoft's Larry Hryb. The small patch is available now and you'll need to install it before attempting to use an Xbox Live-enabled game.
