Adobe has significantly changed up its traditional formula this year by offering subscription-based access to its Creative Suite of design tools, and now the company is getting into content sharing with today's announcement that it has acquired Behance. Behnace, like DeviantArt, is a site designed to help artists showcase their work, and it offers online portfolio and gallery tools. Adobe is keeping mum on how it specifically plans to integrate Behance, but it does intend to use the service to bolster its Creative Cloud subscription service. The company announced earlier this month that Creative Cloud — which starts at $49.99 per month — had accumulated over 1 million users (approximately 326,000 of which had paid access), and it added photo management software Lightroom 4 to the program a few months ago. When questioned about the future of Behance, a spokesperson told us that it would remain unchanged for the foreseeable future and suggested that it will remain accessible to those without Creative Cloud subscriptions even after it's integrated with Adobe.
