Time Warner Cable has been expanding its TWC TV apps across multiple platforms for months now, and today the company is bringing live streaming television to desktops. The TWC TV app is available now in beta and works on PCs and Macs in Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Internet Explorer — so long as you've got Silverlight installed, too. The app lets you explore the cable guide on your computer, and some channels will stream on your PC if you're on your home network (just like every other TWC TV app). You can also change the channel on your set-top box from the webapp and manage your DVR recordings as well. The desktop app joins the cable operator's iPad and iPhone apps by offering live streaming, leaving just the Android tablet and phone apps out in the cold for now. If you've got Time Warner Cable, check out the source link below and sign in to start streaming.
