That's exactly what's happening now, as Big Red has slashed both the HTC Rezound and LG Spectrum to $99 with the requisite two-year agreement. You'll have until February 28th to sign the dotted line if you want either device for the discounted rate.

Faced with a choice, we'd definitely recommend going for the Beats-enabled Rezound over the Spectrum. Next to the Galaxy Nexus, HTC's handset represents perhaps the best LTE smartphone of the Android variety available on Verizon's airwaves. Though both offer 720p displays, the HTC offers an all-around better experience — and for a phone that debuted at $299 just a few short months ago, $99 is a solid price..
