What's better than an iOS and Android-controlled, video-recording quadrocopter? Getting it a month before it arrives in stores. Online retailer Brookstone is opening up pre-orders for the Parrot AR Drone 2.0 today for $299.99, and while those that book in advance will be able to get the drone on April 9th, the general population won't be able to pick one up until sometime in May. A couple of improvements have been made to the device since we saw it at CES, including a new double-tap gesture that sends the drone upward into a barrel roll, and a USB port that allows you to record in-flight video from the onboard HD camera directly to a thumb drive. If you want to be one of the first to grab the new quadrotors before they hit the street, click the source link below.
