We like to imagine we're hunkered down in a bunker waiting for the next Angel attack whenever we pick up our cellphones, which is why we're so psyched about this NERV edition Sharp SH-06D coming out on NTT Docomo. Slated to arrive in June, the device is timed to coincide with the fall release of the newest Rebuild of Evangelion film, titled You Can (Not) Redo. The handset is designed to look like a government-issued phone in the Evangelion universe, and on top of the novel case, features "built-in content" and UI elements created by director Hideaki Anno's Khara studio. Otherwise, we're expecting the same 4.5-inch 720p display, Android 2.3 OS, and Nottv capability as on the vanilla SH-06D. No word on pricing or quantities yet (it'll definitely be Japan only), but the phone will be making a public appearance at the Nottv booth at the Anime Contents Expo in Chiba later this month.
