Inexpensive Android tablets aren't hard to find, but it's not too often that we see one with a 9.7-inch IPS display that comes in at a €199 (about $260) price point. That's exactly what the Prestigio Multi 9.7 Pro will offer when it goes on sale next month in Europe. According to Notebook Italia, the Android 4.0 tablet will have a 1GHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of storage (expandable via a microSD card slot). It also has a VGA front-facing camera and an HDMI port, but the processor is definitely one place where Prestigio cut some costs — the Cortex-A8 is pretty long in the tooth at this point. When the site spent some time with the tablet at CeBIT 2012 last week, they said that a pre-production model was "sufficiently responsive," but we'll just have to reserve our judgement until we can see it for ourselves. Check the video below at the 1:26 mark to see the tablet in action.
