With electric vehicles still failing to set the world alight, it may just fall on Porsche to inject some excitement into the category with its 918 Spyder — the world's first plug-in hybrid supercar. Wired's Autopia blog got to ride in one of three prototypes in existence, and while the lack of bodywork meant the test car could only get to around 80 mph, the final model will reach 202 mph and go from zero to 60 mph in under three seconds. It'll also reach 90mph without using any fuel at all, assuming you've fully charged the battery.
