The wait for a final release of the Cyanogenmod 7.2 firmware for Android 2.3.7 is nearly over. The official blog is announcing that the 7.2 release candidate is available for download, supporting 70 devices (including the Motorola Atrix) and adding over 20 new features since the previous update back in October of last year.
Cyanogenmod 7.2 contains a new T9 predictive phone dialer and a number of Wi-Fi fixes, as well as support for Bluetooth GPS dongles and improved mouse and USB keyboard support. The team is also claiming a number of bug fixes and improved translations that should help ensure a more pleasant user experience. 7.2 is expected to be the last release for Android 2.3.7, with the team focusing most of its energies these days on Cyanogenmod 9 for Android 4.0 instead.
