Greetings, adventurers!

Our official Minecraft server kicked off just one week ago with a raucous party at Club Obsidian, and since then our industrious community has completed a staggering number of projects. We're still running scared from creepers — even in Verge City (keep working on those candles, folks!) — but we've certainly left our humble beginnings behind. So what better way to celebrate our recent gains by wiping the server clean?

Don't worry — your creations will live on. But tomorrow starting at 3PM ET we'll be wiping the slate clean for an "end run" event, where players will work together as a team to start from scratch and make it all the way to Minecraft's final confrontation with the dreadful Ender Dragon. After we've slain the dragon, we'll revert to the original world.

In the meantime, you can ponder your plan of attack, or jump into the Vergecraft server right now to claim your own little plot of blocky heaven. Be sure to check out the new Vergecraft updates & announcements thread in our forums, and follow the new Vergecraft Twitter account (@vergecraft1) for future updates.

As usual, here's what you'll need to participate:

1. A paid registration of Minecraft.
2. Version 1.2.3 of the game (requires Java).
3. Whitelist access to our server (request access here)
