Roku owners who walk on the Android side of the aisle have reason to celebrate: the company has released a version of its remote control app for Google's mobile platform. The app will work with any Roku box and any Android device running version 2.1 or higher, as long as they're both on the same Wi-Fi network. It brings with it all of the features that were included in the iOS update last month, including D-pad control and hotkeys for your Netflix, Crackle, and Pandora channels. Some users on the Android Market have noted troubles with the app finding their devices, but according to Roku toggling Wi-Fi on the phone and on your Roku box should solve any problems. If you'd like to try it out for yourself, the app is available now.
