Lenovo has announced the UK pricing for its upcoming Windows 8 convertible tablet / laptop, the IdeaPad Yoga, and it's not pretty. The entry-level model will set Brits back £1,200 (around $1,900), with the Core i7 model reaching £1,500 (around $2,375). The price likely includes UK sales tax at 20 percent, but when we saw the Yoga at CES back in January we were told to expect the entry-level price to be around $1,199, which would have given a UK price of around £910 including tax.
It's unclear if the extra £290 is a special UK-only bonus, or if the rest of the world will be privy to the price-hike as well. There's still no precise release date from Lenovo, but we expect the IdeaPad Yoga to be available when Windows 8 launches later this year.
