Tim Cook's reign as Apple CEO may be short, but he's presided over some stunning milestones since last August, and now he'll be making his first speaking appearance at a non-Apple event — Cook will kick off All Things D's D10 conference on May 29th

Tim Cook may be relatively new as Apple CEO, but he's presided over some stunning milestones since last August, and now he'll be making his first speaking appearance at a non-Apple event — Cook will kick off All Things D's D10 conference on May 29th. Steve Jobs had made a number of appearances at All Things D's conferences, and they often saw Jobs at his most candid, so we're hoping that Cook similarly opens up. He certainly has a lot of things to discuss, from the performance of the new iPad to the ongoing labor situation at Foxconn in China... it wouldn't surprise us if the long-rumored Apple TV came up once or twice, as well. At the very least, it will hopefully present a different side of Cook than we've seen at Apple's press events so far.
