Asus announced the Transformer Pad 300 series of convertible tablets back in February, and it looks like the official launch might be just around the corner. Android Community took note of a listing for the 32GB variant of the device at French online retailer Tablette Store. The tablet is listed for pre-order at a price of €499 — though no release date is provided. A quick trip through Google Shopping search results, however, turns up an entry for the same model at US retailer J&R. While no proper listing for the device appears on the company's website, a sales representative did confirm the price, while also informing us that the 16GB model will be priced at $379. Even better, we were told the company expects to have both TF300T variants in stock "in about a week."
The Transformer Pad 300 models will feature a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 SoC, a 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 IPS display, 1GB of RAM, and an 8-megapixel rear-facing shooter. Of vital importance to the Asus Transformer hybrid design is the keyboard dock, of course, and that pricing appears to have leaked as well, with the J&R entry listing it at $149. Of course, all of this information should be considered rumor until the devices are actually available for order — and we'll be sure to let you know when that moment arrives.
