You could almost be forgiven for forgetting all about Canon's 1D X — the full-frame shooter was announced back in October, but since then we've seen the company introduce and release the 5D Mark III, and earlier today we got first word of the 4K-shooting 1D C. The 1D X slots right in between those two DSLRs in terms of price and specs, so where's it got to? Well, Canon announced today that the camera has suffered another delay and will eventually be available in mid-June, with the new 24-70mm F2.8L II lens following in early July. No word on what's caused the 1D X's tardiness, but it's certainly disappointing — Nikon managed to get its competing D4 announced and shipped in little over a month.
