Meizu has finally made the quad-core version of its popular MX smartphone official with full launch details. The MX Quad-core will be out in June, and while the company says it's "better in every way than its predecessor," beyond the processor it looks to keep the same 4-inch 960 x 640 display and 8-megapixel camera with f/2.2 lens. Meizu promises 60 percent faster CPU performance and 50 percent extra GPU speed courtesy of the Samsung Exynos processor, however, and the handset will give us our first proper look at how the company's unlque "Flyme OS" skin has evolved with Android 4.0. The MX Quad-core will be sold at ¥2,999 ($475) and ¥3,999 ($633) in respective 32GB and 64GB capacities, and starting today the original 16GB dual-core MX has had its price reduced to $2,399 ($380).
