Sony's PlayMemories online storage service is now available in the UK, France, and Germany, allowing users to store up to 5GB of photos and videos in the cloud. From there, they can be accessed by a number of means — the service is integrated into the PlayStation 3, Bravia TVs, and the company's digital photo frames, as well as offering apps for iOS and Android. As the name suggests, there's an online element too, allowing you to organize your images wherever you are. It's also supported by Sony's Bloggie range of cameras, allowing you to upload the photos you take direct to the cloud.
Once your pictures and videos are uploaded, you can create postcards to share them with friends via the web. The obvious draw of the service will be for people who've entirely bought into Sony's ecosystem — other cloud storage services might offer more flexibility, but this is the only one that's available on your PlayStation.
