Samsung has just made its first massive gaming laptop available in the United States. It's called the Series 7 Gamer, and you might remember it from CES (who could forget that eye-catching custom paint job?), but and now that Intel has released its third-generation Core processors, Samsung is ready to give us all the details on the new rig. The 17.3-inch laptop has a 1920 x 1080 display, and it is powered by a quad-core, 2.30GHz Intel Core i7-3610QM processor and a discrete Nvidia GeForce GTX 675M graphics card with 2GB of VRAM. Unfortunately that's not one of Nvidia's new 28nm Kepler cards, but battery life probably wasn't in the front of Samsung's mind when outfitting this laptop. Apparently weight wasn't much of a consideration, either — it comes in at a hefty 8.39 pounds. Rounding out the specs are 16GB of RAM, a Blu-ray reader, a backlit keyboard, and a 1.5TB hard drive with 8GB of flash memory for speedy boot times. If you're interested, Samsung says the Series 7 Gamer is available now from Amazon, Newegg, and TigerDirect for $1,899.99, but for the record we don't see the product on any of those sites just yet (it's available here at CompUSA, however).
