Last week HBO updated its Go and MAX Go apps for Android to support version 4.0. The popular streaming apps had previously only worked with Android devices running the Gingerbread version of the operating system, so the update was a welcome one for those with newer devices.
Unfortunately, at the time there was still no support for Android tablets. Android Community contacted an HBO representative today, who confirmed that tablet versions of the apps are indeed in the pipe and should appear "early this summer." The rep said that the new version of the apps will include support for "most" Android tablets, including the Kindle Fire.
