LG first unveiled its Optimus 4X HD quad-core Android handset at Mobile World Congress earlier this year and the company now says it's ready to launch it in several European countries. UK, Germany, Sweden, Italy, and Poland will all start selling the Optimus 4X HD next month, but there's no word on pricing for each country or exact availability dates.

LG's Optimus 4X HD includes an Nvidia Tegra 3 processor clocked at 1.5GHz, a 4.7-inch 1280 x 720 IPS display, and 1GB of RAM with 16GB of internal storage. LG is shipping the Optimus 4X HD with Android 4.0 out of the box and DLNA and MHL support. We got our hands on the Optimus 4X HD at Mobile World Congress and were impressed with the texturing and speed of the device. With the Samsung Galaxy S III set to go on sale in Europe later this month, it's clear that LG's latest Android handset will go head-to-head for the attention of shoppers looking for a high end Android handset this summer.
