Verizon promised that the Droid 4 would be able to travel the world on GSM networks this year, and recent leaks pegged the feature for the HTC Rezound, too. Now, Verizon's confirmed that not only will both phones get a software update to enable global GSM roaming this summer, but so will the Droid RAZR and RAZR Maxx, for a total of four LTE smartphones retroactively outfitted for globetrotting.
"After the software update, customers will be able to take their smartphone overseas and use voice service in more than 220 countries and receive data in more than 205 countries," the carrier says. What about the LG Spectrum, which was promised the same update back in January? We just asked Verizon about it, and hope to hear back momentarily.
