The Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 75mm F1.8 lens that was spotted back in February was officially announced this week. The new lens will give a 150mm-equivalent field of view on Micro Four Thirds sensors, and has a bright f/1.8 aperture to allow for low-light shooting and a shallow depth of field. Together with its all-metal construction, the lens gives the Micro Four Thirds line a new high-end, professional-caliber portrait option that'll no doubt please recent buyers of the Olympus OM-D E-M5. The lens will be available in July for $899 / €899 along with some equally expensive accessories: the LH-61F lens hood ($74.95 / €79.90) and the LC-61 lens cap ($39.99 / €39.90).
