One of the few knocks against the mirrorless camera systems from Sony and Samsung are the relative scarcity of good lenses (compared to Micro Four Thirds or the traditional DSLR systems, anyway). South Korean lens manufacturer Samyang, who has already made a number of lenses for Samsung's NX mount, has just released a new option for both the Samsung NX and Sony NEX camera systems — a manual 8mm f/2.8 fisheye lens. It consists of ten elements in total (in eight groups) and has a full 180-degree viewing angle and minimum focusing distance of 0.3 meters. Unfortunately, there's no price or release date yet. While this might not be the most versatile lens out there, the NX and NEX camera series have plenty of standard lenses available — now users have an option that provides a more extreme perspective.
