Google has announced that the book section of its Google Play store is now available to readers in Germany. The store is ready starting today, and as with all other versions the books are available to read on the web or through iOS and Android apps. Naturally, the store will include German-language best-sellers like Charlotte Link's Der Beobachter, along with older titles. While the service initially launched in largely English-speaking countries, Google is slowly rolling it out to the rest of the world, as well — in addition to Germany, last month the bookstore launched in Italy.
