An in-depth look at some of the key special effects sequences in the film Prometheus.

Now that you've seen Prometheus, you might be wondering just how it was made. We've already taken a look at aspects of the film's UI and worldbuilding, and now fxguide has published a lengthy article (and half-hour video podcast) detailing some of the key special effects sequences in great depth. With the help of visual effects supervisor Richard Stammers, the piece explores a handful of shots from the film, ranging from something as simple as the titular Prometheus spaceship landing on a planet, to one of the film's more gruesome scenes. Naturally the piece is filled with spoilers, so read at your own risk — and after you do, be sure to stop by our forums for some spoiler-filled Prometheus discussion.
