Nintendo has announced at its pre-E3 conference that it will offer a more traditional controller for the upcoming Wii U. Unlike the just-announced (and updated) Wii U Gamepad, the Pro Controller should be quite a bit more suited for more... traditional gaming. At first it looks like the child of a Xbox 360 controller and the Wii's Classic Controller Pro, and while it might not be terribly original, we're sure that many will prefer it over the basic ergonomics offered by the Classic controller. Nintendo didn't offer any availability info on the new controller, but it's pretty clear that it'll be an optional extra.
