Toshiba has just launched what it is calling the "world's lightest" ultrabook, the Portégé Z935 (or Z930 in the UK). The 13.3-inch laptop is super light, weighing in at just over 2.4 pounds (that's just a bit more less than the 13.3-inch MacBook Air), and it's a slim 8.3mm at its thinnest point.

In terms of specs, the Portégé Z935 has the newest Intel Ivy Bridge processors, Intel's HD 4000 graphics, up to 12GB of DDR3 RAM, and an up to 512GB SSD. The laptop has a brushed magnesium alloy casing, a backlit keyboard, and a 13.3-inch non-glare LCN (at 1366 x 768 resolution). The Z935 also has one USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports, plus HDMI, VGA and SD card reader slots, and is rated for up to eight hours of battery life.

The Portégé Z935 will be available in the US on June 24, starting at $899.99. For our friends across the pond, it will arrive sometime in Q3 of this year and it will run £899.
