Firmware updates for speakers are something we're still not entirely used to, but there are probably enough Jawbone Jambox owners out there for it to be considered normal soon enough. The new version 2.2 update builds on the LiveAudio upgrade from last year, and adds features like a silent mode that disables prompts and tones, compatibility with the Jawbone Companion Android app, and higher quality speakerphone capabilities. One welcome change we noticed was that the volume up and down tones are now much shorter and don't drown out the music as much as before, and there's also a separate double tone that indicates when you're at the minimum or maximum level. You can get the update from Jawbone's MyTALK site right now.
